Program Overview

Fort Worth Homebuyer Assistance Program is a program that provides mortgage assistance for income-eligible first-time home buyers. Property must be located in the city of Fort Worth.

Who is eligible for this program?

Borrowers must not have owned a home in the last three years. Displaced homemakers are also eligible. Funds may be used for hte downpayment, closing costs, or mortgage principal reduction.

Benefit Details

Repayment is required only if the property is sold or vacated within five years. Maximum subsidy of $14,999.

Other Program Comments:Borrowers must provide their own funds in an amount equal to $1000, or 2% of the purchase price, whichever is less. Application is made through an approved lender.
